You can use aider directly with a person or a pronoun (e.g., "Il m'aide" - He helps me).

It can also be followed by "à" + infinitive to express helping someone do something: "Elle aide à préparer le dîner" (She helps prepare dinner).

Avoid using "pour" after aider when followed by an infinitive.

For example, do not say "aider pour faire."
