Notes
GENERAL INFO
Aura is the future tense, third-person singular form of the verb avoir (to have).
It means “he/she/it will have” or “one will have.”
USAGE
It expresses an action or state in the future.
Il aura 30 ans. → He will be 30 years old
Elle aura besoin d’aide. → She will need help
On aura le temps. → We will have time
It is also used as an auxiliary verb in the future perfect (futur antérieur):
Il aura fini. → He will have finished
TRAPS
Do not confuse aura (verb) with une aura (noun = atmosphere, vibe).
Do not confuse it with other forms of avoir:
a → present (he/she has)
avait → imperfect (he/she had)
aurait → conditional (he/she would have)
Also, remember that aura refers to the future, not the present.
