USAGE

It's widely used in casual conversation to express approval or describe something positive.

Examples: "C'est cool !" (That's cool!), "Un t-shirt cool." (A cool t-shirt.), "Elle est très cool." (She's very laid-back/nice.)

TRAPS

Crucially, cool is invariable. It does not change for gender or number (e.g., "des amis cool," not "cools"). Also, it almost exclusively means "good/stylish," rarely referring to temperature like "frais/froide."
