USAGE

Used for obligation (*Je dois partir* - I have to leave) or debt (*Il me doit 50€* - He owes me €50). It can also be replaced by the Impersonal verb "Falloir".

TRAPS

*J'ai dû* (passé composé) implies something *had to happen*,
