USAGE

It defines a terminal point.

For time: *Je reste jusqu'à minuit.* (I stay until midnight.)

For place: *Nous marchons jusqu'à la gare.* (We walk as far as the station.)

For quantity/degree: *Il a bu jusqu'à la dernière goutte.* (He drank to the last drop.)

TRAPS

Remember to contract jusqu'à with definite articles: *jusqu'au* (to the, masc. sing.), *jusqu'à la* (to the, fem. sing.), *jusqu'à l'* (to the, vowel/h), *jusqu'aux* (to the, plural).

Do not confuse with "jusque" used with adverbs like "jusque-là."
