Notes
GENERAL INFO
Quand means "when." It functions as both an interrogative adverb (asking "when?") and a conjunction (connecting clauses with a sense of "at the time that").
USAGE
As an adverb: "Quand viens-tu ?" (When are you coming?)
As a conjunction: "Je te verrai quand tu seras prêt." (I will see you when you are ready.)
It introduces a temporal clause.
TRAPS
Do not confuse quand with "quant à" (as for/regarding).
Also, remember to use quand for time, not "si" (if) for conditions. (e.g., "Quand il pleut" - When it rains, not "Si il pleut" for a repeated action).
