Notes
GENERAL INFO
Quel is an interrogative and exclamative adjective, meaning "which" or "what". It must agree in gender and number with the noun it modifies.
USAGE
It's used to ask for specific information ("Quel est ton nom?" - What is your name?) or to express an exclamation ("Quelle surprise!" - What a surprise!). It always precedes a noun or is followed by a form of "être".
TRAPS
Remember its four forms: quel (masculine singular), quelle (feminine singular), quels (masculine plural), and quelles (feminine plural). Don't confuse it with "qui" (who) or "quoi" (what - a pronoun).
