Ton means "your" and is a possessive adjective used with singular, informal "you" (tu).

USAGE

It always precedes a masculine singular noun.

Example: "C'est ton frère." (That's your brother.) "Où est ton chapeau ?" (Where is your hat?)

TRAPS

Do not confuse ton with "ta" (feminine singular) or "tes" (plural). Crucially, ton is also used before a feminine singular noun that starts with a vowel or a silent 'h' for pronunciation ease (e.g., "ton amie" - your friend (f.)).
