GENERAL INFO
Voir is an irregular verb meaning "to see," "to watch," or sometimes "to meet." It describes visual perception.
USAGE
You use voir for general sight: "Je vois un chat" (I see a cat). It can also imply meeting someone: "Je vais voir mes parents" (I'm going to see/meet my parents).
TRAPS
Do not confuse voir (to see, often passively) with "regarder" (to watch/look at, with intention). Its conjugation is irregular.
