Me is a French object pronoun, meaning "me" or "to me". It acts as either a direct or indirect object in a sentence.

USAGE

It typically comes before the verb. For example: "Il me voit" (He sees me) or "Tu me donnes un livre" (You give me a book). It's also used with reflexive verbs, as in "Je me lève" (I get up).

TRAPS

After an affirmative imperative, me becomes moi and follows the verb, e.g., "Regarde-moi !" (Look at me!). Do not confuse it with "mes" (my), which is a possessive adjective.
