USAGE
It's used for transportation (`prendre le train`), meals (`prendre le petit-déjeuner`), decisions (`prendre une décision`), or actions (`prendre un risque`).
TRAPS
Its wide range of meanings can be tricky. Don't always translate "to take" literally from English.
For "to take a shower," use `prendre une douche`.
