Notes
GENERAL INFO
Si is a conjunction meaning "if," introducing conditional clauses. It's also an adverb meaning "yes," used to contradict a negative question or statement.
USAGE
As "if": *Si tu viens, appelle-moi.* (If you come, call me.)
It also means "so/such": *C'est si beau !* (It's so beautiful!)
As "yes" to a negative: *Tu n'aimes pas ça ? Si !* (You don't like that? Yes, I do!)
TRAPS
Avoid *si + conditionnel*. For hypotheticals, use *si + imparfait*: *Si j'avais le temps, je viendrais.* Remember si contracts to s'il/s'ils.
