Tellement is an adverb meaning "so much," "so many," or "so."

USAGE

It intensifies verbs ("J'ai tellement ri!") or precedes adjectives/adverbs ("Elle est tellement gentille."). Often used with "que" to express consequence: "Il faisait tellement froid qu'on est resté dedans." (It was so cold that we stayed inside.)

TRAPS

Avoid confusing tellement with "si." While both mean "so," tellement often carries a stronger emphasis or can directly modify a verb, whereas "si" typically only modifies adjectives or adverbs.
